Naturally Tallow · A Brand of Arrow to Arrow Family Farm
Soap as pure
as the land
it comes from.
Two ingredients. Saponified tallow rendered from locally sourced suet, and pure essential oils. Nothing synthetic. No coconut derivatives. Nothing that doesn't belong.
"Naturally Tallow grew out of our own family's need — we couldn't find soap we could trust. So we made it ourselves, on our farm, and now we share it with yours."

Where Naturally Tallow Comes From
Rooted in the same farm.
Driven by the same mission.
Naturally Tallow isn't a separate company — it's a branch of the same family tree. Arrow to Arrow Family Farm is a 1.25-acre micro farm right here in Greenwood, SC, built on a foundation of giving before selling. Before we ever took a dollar, we were handing out plant starts, seeds, and produce to families in need.
Our tallow soap came out of that same spirit. Our own family needed a soap we could trust — free from allergens, coconut derivatives, and synthetic additives. So we made it. It worked so well we built Naturally Tallow around it, and every bar sold continues to fund the farm programs that feed our community.
"When you buy a bar of Naturally Tallow soap, you're not just buying soap — you're helping us grow food and give it away."
Every purchase directly supports:
- Our free community greenhouse — plant starts available to anyone, no purchase required
- Our produce pantry — fresh farm-grown food shared freely with Greenwood families
- Our seed library — free seeds for gardeners, beginners, and kids learning to grow

Why Tallow?
The oldest skin care
ingredient is also
the best one.
Before petroleum-based creams, synthetic detergents, and lab-engineered emulsifiers took over the bathroom shelf, people washed with tallow. Rendered beef fat has been used for skin care for thousands of years — not because it was cheap, but because it genuinely works.
Tallow's fat profile is remarkably similar to the natural oils your skin already produces. That biological compatibility means your skin can absorb and use what's in the bar, rather than simply coating the surface. The result is a genuine clean that doesn't strip your skin dry.
Our tallow is rendered from locally sourced beef suet — a byproduct that would otherwise go to waste. Nothing imported, nothing industrially processed. Farm-to-bar, right here in Greenwood, SC.
Tallow's Fatty Acid Profile — Why It Works for Skin
Tallow's fatty acid profile closely mirrors human sebum — making it uniquely biocompatible and effective at supporting the skin's natural moisture barrier.
The Benefits
What you feel after
the very first bar.
These aren't marketing claims — they're the reasons our own family uses nothing else, and what we hear from customers every single week.
Deeply Moisturizing
Tallow's oleic acid profile closely mirrors your skin's own sebum, allowing it to truly nourish rather than just coat. Dry, tight skin after washing? Not here.
Gentle on Sensitive Skin
No synthetic surfactants, no coconut derivatives, no seed oils, no colorants. This bar was born from our family's own skin sensitivities — for people who've given up on other soaps.
A Real, Rich Lather
Palmitic acid provides a creamy, stable lather that rinses completely clean. No film, no residue, no stripping — just honest soap behaving exactly as it should.
Antimicrobial by Nature
Palmitoleic acid, naturally present in tallow, has documented antimicrobial properties. Pure essential oils in our scented bars compound this naturally.
Zero Fillers
Most commercial soaps are technically detergent bars with synthetic lathering agents. Ours is real soap — saponified tallow and essential oils only. Nothing else makes the cut.
Locally & Ethically Sourced
Our tallow is rendered from locally sourced beef suet — a byproduct that would otherwise go to waste. Whole-use, honest farming, right here in South Carolina.
Our Ingredient Standard
We know what's in every bar. Exactly.
We don't hide behind "fragrance," "natural flavors," or ingredient lists that need a chemistry degree. Our standard is simple: if it doesn't need to be there, it isn't. This came from necessity — our own family couldn't tolerate what most soaps put in their bars.
What's in our soap
- ✓Saponified Beef TallowRendered from locally sourced suet — our one and only base oil
- ✓Pure Essential OilsIn scented bars only — lavender, cedarwood, frankincense, chamomile & more
- ✓Lye (sodium hydroxide)Used in saponification only — none remains in the finished bar
- ✓WaterUsed during saponification — evaporates fully during the cure
What we leave out — and why
- ✗Coconut oil & all derivativesA common allergen — simply not needed when tallow is your base
- ✗Seed oils (sunflower, canola, soybean, etc.)Highly processed, oxidize quickly, and add nothing tallow doesn't do better
- ✗Synthetic fragrance oilsOne of the top skin irritants — we use only pure essential oils
- ✗Colorants & dyesNo micas, no oxides, no lab dyes — our color comes from the tallow itself
- ✗Synthetic preservativesProperly made tallow soap simply doesn't need them
From Farm to Lather
Every bar starts on a farm.
Ours. Here.
Local Sourcing
We source beef suet from local processors right here in South Carolina. No commodity oil, no industrial supply chain — a direct relationship with our source.
Slow Rendering
Suet is rendered low and slow into pure tallow — a clean, stable fat that builds a beautiful hard bar and lathers generously without additives.
Cold Process Soap
We cold-process every batch — combining tallow and lye at precise ratios, folding in essential oils at trace. No shortcuts, no rush.
4-Week Cure & Hand Cut
Each batch cures at least four weeks on our farm, building a harder, milder bar. Then cut, stamped, and packaged by hand — every time.
Our Soaps
Every bar. The same
honest two ingredients.
From unscented to richly blended with pure essential oils — each variety is made the exact same way, with the exact same commitment to purity.
